ABOUT ME
I am aPolish-American from NJ and earned my B.A. in Chemistry/Biochemistry from Bryn Mawr College in PA, where I also studied fine arts. I completed my medical training in Boston and subsequently moved to Los Angeles in 2016, where I work as an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
I am passionate about art and merged it with medicine. I made illustrations for medical journals, text book chapters, and presentations. Additionally, I have created graphic images used for clothing.
I use various mediums including: acrylic, oil, and watercolor paints, pencil, markers, ink, pastels, colored pencils, charcoal, and mixed media. My work ranges from finely detailed realism to fantasy, cartoon, and contemporary. I draws inspiration from Renaissance realism (e.g., Da Vinci and Bouguereau), surrealism (Dali), contemporary (Murakami), and street/graffiti art.
My portfolio includes medical/anatomical art, portraiture, landscapes, nature/animals, and botanical art.
